A ten-volume set of anthologies of children’s stories and poems. This set was co-published by Grolier and E. M. Hale in an illustrated library binding in 1958. The edition published by Lothrop, Lee and Shepard Co., Inc. has a plain cloth binding.

The ten volumes are divided into five themes with one volume for younger and one for older children:

FUN AND HUMOR: Mostly Magic and Fun and Fantasy

ADVENTURE: Wonderful Things Happen and Adventures Here and There

CHILDREN EVERYWHERE: Good Times Together and Children Everywhere

THE STORY OF AMERICA: Stories of Early America and American Backgrounds

Includes Willie’s Pocket by Margaret Wise Brown with illustrations by Crockett Johnson reproduced in color. An anthology for younger children about people around the world.

Mostly Magic (1958)

A collection of traditional fairy tales, fables and nursery rhymes for younger children.
