Elinor Whitney
(1889 - 1980)
Elinor Whitney Field was an American children’s book author. She won the Newbery Honor in 1928. She and her colleague Bertha Mahony founded The Horn Book Magazine, a respected arbiter of excellence in children’s publishing.
